LiveStrong at the YMCA: A Cancer Survivorship Program of Stanford University is a 12 week small group exercise program designed for adult cancer survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued as a result of their treatment and/or disease. The goal is to build muscle mass and muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance and improve overall functional ability. Additional goals include reducing the severity of treatment side effects, preventing unwanted weight changes and improving energy levels and self esteem. A certified personal trainer leads this program.
