Why the Downtown YMCA needs your support:
Milwaukee youth need positive role models throughout their journey into adulthood. Through YMCA Mentoring Programs, volunteer mentors provide crucial one-on-one support that will make a critical and lasting difference in our young people's lives.

YMCA One on One and Sponsor-A-Scholar Mentoring Programs:
- Provide caring adult mentors to more than 300 youth annually
- Help young people reach personal and academic potential
- Provide a structured individualized curriculum
- Improve reading levels and literacy skills
- Make college a reality

Your gift to the Downtown YMCA provides a variety of opportunities:
$50 gives two students one month of a YMCA membership
$100 provides a week of after school snacks for One on One middle school mentoring students
$250 sponsors a week of transportation for 25 One on One middle school students
$500 sends a Sponsor-A-Scholar high school mentoring student to a Camp Matawa enrichment program
$1,000 supports a student through the One on One program for a year
$2,500 sponsors a pre-college tour for the Junior class in our Sponsor-A-Scholar program
$5,000 provides a college scholarship for a Sponsor-A-Scholar partcipant
$15,000 supports a student in the Sponsor-A-Scholar program for four years and a college scholarship
