Why the Parklawn YMCA needs your support:
The Parklawn YMCA is the first YMCA in the country to be located in a public housing development. The Parklawn YMCA is the hub of the Parklawn community on Milwaukee's north side. The community is comprised of more than 500 low-income families, of whom 90 percent are female head of households.
The Parklawn YMCA provides a safe, enriching environment to the kids, teens and families in the neighborhood. From infants to seniors, the Parklawn YMCA provides support and a nurturing environment to help these neighbors grow strong in spirit, mind and body.
Since the YMCA has been part of the community, there has been a decrease in drug use, which has contributed to a more positive neighborhood environment.

Your gift to the Parklawn YMCA provides a variety of opportunities:
$250 supports five children in a session of Youth Sports
$500 sponsors a teen in the Teen Leaders Club for an entire year
$750 provides two teens with a full year of membership and positive activities
$1,000 supports a child in our after school program for a year
$1,500 gives and entire summer of day camp for an at-risk child
$2,500 supports five teens in our Teen Achievers program as they prepare for graduation and college |
