When you are a volunteer at the YMCA, you are part of a not-for-profit organization that builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities. YMCA volunteers are surrounded by people who value caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Volunteers make a difference in the community - and they have a great experience as well!
It's easy to become a volunteer! Just contact our volunteer coordinator at volunteers@ymcamke.org to request a volunteer application to help us determine what opportunities available would be the right one for you. Take time to help others and please consider volunteering your time and skills.
Ways to Volunteer
Program Volunteers
Provide leadership and support to many high quality programs and services enjoyed by the community such as coaching Youth Sports, mentoring middle school or high school students, and assisting with child care programs.
Philanthropy Volunteers
Help to raise the funds to ensure that YMCA programs are open to everyone regardless of economic circumstances.
Special Events Volunteers
Help to plan, promote and run events that strengthen the community.
Advisory Volunteers
Provide leadership in advising us on important issues and overall direction.
Policy Volunteers
Provide leadership to the YMCA. Includes membership on Board of Directors or one of the associated committees.
