About Our Camp
At the Rite-Hite Family YMCA Day Camp, we want to give campers opportunities they may not get anywhere else and experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives. Our expansive outdoor campgrounds resemble a traditional "overnight camp" in many ways. We start and end our days with camp songs at our opening and closing ceremonies at Council Grounds, where campers and staff participate in challenges, celebrate birthdays, acknowledge great behaviors and accomplishments, and everyone gets to act a little silly and have fun.
With the space we have, we are able to separate our 4- to 6-year-olds from our 7- to 12-year-olds for most of the day to help create a safer and more comfortable environment for our younger campers. Campers' groups vary by week based on enrollment, so there are always new opportunities for children to make friends and meet people outside their school or neighborhood.
Outdoor space, adventure programming, and the opportunity to swim multiple times each week are what make the Rite-Hite Family YMCA Day Camp experience so special. Some of the amenities and options we have to offer campers include:
- 40 acres of land for exploring
- Indoor swimming pool
- 2 large fields for outdoor games
- Archery range
- Nature trails for hikes and scavenger hunts
- Alpine climbing tower
- Outdoor pavilions for arts & crafts and other activities
Meet the Director
Hello! My name is Erin Diestler, and this will be my second summer as the Director at the Rite-Hite Family YMCA Day Camp. I started working at the Y in 2016 and have filled various roles from Camp Counselor to Camp Director.
I fell in love with working in childcare and the Y from the moment I stepped on the big fields at the Rite-Hite Family YMCA. I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing sports, taking field trips, and spending as much one-on-one time with campers as I can.
Fun Facts:
- I lived in The Bahamas for 15 months.
- I worked for the Milwaukee Bucks for 5 years and have a Masters' Degree in Sport Management.
- I love dogs! I rescued a puppy from the island I lived on in The Bahamas and brought him back with me to live in the snow instead of the sand.
- When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with friends and family, watching any Wisconsin sports team, and probably enjoying some cheese curds or chips and guac.

Meet the Director
Hi! My name is Diego Flores, and this is my fourth year at Lincoln Park! I have been working in youth development for about 10 years. Started as a cabin counselor and now working as a Camp Director. Playing basketball and finding a new coffee shop to explore are some of my favorite activities. I hope you are ready for summer because I know I am.
At Lincoln Park, we have an "open door" policy. That means everyone and anyone is welcome into our community. We believe that equity and inclusion are important, but we also believe that not all families are the same and we cater to those needs.
I'm excited to welcome all to Lincoln Park Day Camp. My goal is to provide another fun summer for all who come through our doors. Can't wait to do all the fun summer activities with all the campers and staff. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions.

Meet the Director
Hello! My name is Sadie Salinas and I am your 2024 Wilson Park Director! I am a firm advocate for the kids and staff in my program, and I believe that parent/guardian communication is a huge piece of that. I want camp to be a place of joy and growth for everyone who encounters it, all I ask is that you keep my team in the loop on how we can work together to support the kids. I am excited to learn from you, thank you for the privilege of getting to know your kids this summer!
