About Our Camp
DIRECTOR: Carly Schuerman
At the Rite-Hite Family YMCA Day Camp, we want to give campers opportunities they may not get anywhere else and experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives. Our expansive outdoor campgrounds resemble a traditional "overnight camp" in many ways. We start and end our days with camp songs at our opening and closing ceremonies at Council Grounds, where campers and staff participate in challenges, celebrate birthdays, acknowledge great behaviors and accomplishments, and everyone gets to act a little silly and have fun.
With the space we have, we are able to separate our 4- to 6-year-olds from our 7- to 12-year-olds for most of the day to help create a safer and more comfortable environment for our younger campers. Campers' groups vary by week based on enrollment, so there are always new opportunities for children to make friends and meet people outside their school or neighborhood.
Outdoor space, adventure programming, and the opportunity to swim multiple times each week are what make the Rite-Hite Family YMCA Day Camp experience so special. Some of the amenities and options we have to offer campers include:
- 40 acres of land for exploring
- Indoor swimming pool
- 2 large fields for outdoor games
- Archery range
- Nature trails for hikes and scavenger hunts
- Alpine climbing tower
- Outdoor pavilions for arts & crafts and other activities

- AGES 6-8: Using LEGO® Spike Essential building kits, campers will expand their understanding of STEAM concepts such as coding and robotics in a fun, hands-on setting.
- AGES 9-12: Campers work in teams to design and build LEGO® Spike Prime robots fitted with various motors, sensors, and attachments. The robots will then be programmed to perform basic tasks and solve missions on a First LEGO® gameboard.
