The Northside YMCA Early Childhood Education Center has surpassed the State of Wisconsin Licensing Standards to achieve accreditation by the National Accreditation Commission (NAC). The center has also been awarded the highest rating from DCF’s Youngstar rating system. This five-star system is based on education, learning environment, business practices and the health and well-being of children.
Early Head Start for children ages 6 weeks to 2.5 years old is also offered at the Northside YMCA Early Childhood Education Center. Children must have a child care subsidy and meet eligibility requirements for enrollment. The Early Head Start Partnership Program for infants and toddlers is made possible through a partnership with Next Door and through a federal Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Grant.
