THE MILWAUKEE Y

The Milwaukee Y offers a variety of cost-effective training programs from basic First Aid through advanced life support-CPR for the professional.  Participants in the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) courses will be able to print their own manuals after the course.

lifeguard training

(Ages 15 & Up)

This American Red Cross Lifeguard training course includes First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen.  Waterfront and water park certifications are also available.

Lifeguard Recertification

(Ages 15 & Up)

This American Red Cross Lifeguard recertification course is designed for current American Red Cross lifeguards.  Bring your lifeguard book, mask, and current certification cards.  Please review materials in advance.

The YMCA provides all American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) course training materials. Participants obtain a digital copy of the training manual upon successful completion.

babysitter training course

(Ages 11 and up)
This American Red Cross course teaches the essentials of babysitting including basic First Aid skills. Manuals provided. Saturday class participants should bring a healthy snack.

ASHI STANDARD FIRST AID

(2-year certification)
Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to emergencies and provide First Aid for many types of injuries.

asHI CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER AND ADMINISTERING EMERGENCY OXYGEN

(2-year certification)
Professional Rescuer level includes two-rescuer CPR, use of resuscitation masks, bag-valve mask resuscitators, and AED, and Administering Emergency Oxygen.

asHI CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER AND ADMINISTERING EMERGENCY OXYGEN RECERTIFICATION

(2-year certification)

Participants must be currently certified in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Participants must bring their current certification card to class.
